It is possible to play Xbox One games in Windows 10 with the Xbox Play Anywhere program, as the Xbox brand is growing towards an expansive platform that is not dedicated to a gaming device. This means that you should be able to stream Xbox One games to any Windows 10 device.
You will need to configure your Xbox One and Windows 10 devices to achieve this, Microsoft recommends that the device streamed too should have a 1.5GHz CPU or better and a minimum of 2GB of RAM. The streaming will only work if your Xbox One and Windows 10 device is connected to the same network.
The first step is to ensure that the Xbox One and Windows 10 device has all its updates. This can be achieved on Windows 10 by clicking the ‘start’ button that is located in the lower left corner and search for ‘check for updates’ in the text field. Your Xbox One should have all its updates as they run automatically.
Turn on your Xbox One and go to the ‘settings’ app by pressing Menu on the controller. Choose ‘preferences’ and check ‘allow game streaming to other devices, this should be under the ‘system and app’ column.
Move to your Windows 10 device and click the ‘start’ button. Type ‘Xbox’ into the search bar, The app should sign into your Xbox Live account with the Microsoft Account credentials you used for your Windows 10 device.
The next step is to ensure that the Gamertag in the Xbox app is the same as your Xbox One console. Choose ‘connection’ at the bottom left. This should open a pop-up that will allow you to add a device. Select ‘connect’, which will open new options like ‘stream’ and ‘test stream’.
Select ‘stream’ and start enjoying Xbox One games on your Windows 10 device.
